RHDC on Non-Communicable Diseases

RHDC Montenegro

(Montenegro, Podgorica)

The Regional Health Development Centre on Non-Communicable Diseases (RHDC NCD) was established with a Decision of the Government of Montenegro in November 2011. Fully supported by the Ministry of Health of Montenegro, it is hosted by the Centre for disease control and prevention at the Institute of Public Health (IPH) in Podgorica.

Established to help SEE countries improve their response to non-communicable diseases, which represent a growing public health challenge, the RHDC NCD coordinates the cooperation between relevant public health institutions in the Region.

Its vision, mission and strategic priorities and activities are in line with the objectives encapsulated in the European Strategy for the Prevention and Control of Non-communicable Diseases (2006) and Action plan for implementation of the European Strategy for the Prevention and Control of Non-communicable Diseases 2012–2016.
